I have windows 10 and I'm really happy with it. Definitely better than windows 8. Get a SSD like hugo said. It will make a huge difference. I bought two. One for windows and one for games and it changed everything. windows starts up in 5 seconds and games run way better.

If budget is an issue, just get a 250gb or 500gb SSD as boot drive, It will make a huge difference. (2 minutes boot up vs 20 seconds)

Dont be cheap on the CPU, you can always add ram and HD space in the far future.

For me, when I built my computer last August, I bought windows 7 and it gave me a free upgrade to windows 10, much cheaper this way, see if this offer is still available.
I was running an old version of CS6 on my windows 7 and it was flawless, then my computer auto updated to windows 10 and I had so much lag issues especially editing raw files to the point I just hated editing photos. Tried all the updates and still no good.

Ended up getting Photoshop CC 2015 and its about NEARLY as good as my windows 7 / CS6 Combo
Although I notice running Firefox also clashes and makes photoshop lag a bit.(even with 24GB ram and tried tweeking the performance/ ram area on Photoshop)

So if i will buy a SSD then it will be faster then now???
