^^leading by example is the best way to get things happening. I've always seen that hold true around here

Autemo blog, there is such a thing isn't there? ...basically copy everything off the facebook page to that page, make it as huge as The truth about cars, Jalopnik, or Top Gear.
^^totes agree. Using the word totes because I'm a hipster. But yeah I think that an active blog would do great things for the site. It really would just be a regurgitation of the facebook page anyway. Perhaps with a few more things and longer write ups. Google loves blogs. Also the most important thing to keep in mind with a blog is it has to be active and updated regularly. If you're not going to update it, then you shouldn't have it around. Having a 'stagnant' blog is a big negative to have on a site.

Reduce number of showrooms, has also been mentioned before though.
^^I agree with this. I think merging perhaps elite and adv would reduce the amount of staleness on the forums. The aim should be to keep the 'freshness' of all of the forums up to date as much as possible. Merging those two will help.

^correct

Other ideas would be to constantly update the chop reel. This would be good if it was updated all the time. And by doing this frequently will show the community that Autemo is active, bustling and has new stuff to comment on all the time. Updating it consistently (like at least once a day) shows the users there's new stuff each time they log on. That is also a good thing to convey.
What ATC Design did in the post before me is right! Doing that is awesome and the way to get things happening. You have to lead by example and you have to put in some hard work. That's the only way to make things happen.. Same holds true anywhere; here and in real life!
I've commented 5 theads in new chopers area
cause im comenting almost every day some of them and i dont have much time to spend it on writing those comments so imo thats more than enogh from me :D :D :D

I agree with this thread.

I myself is trying to dedicate time to find threads with low rating or 0 comments just to balance things out and try to make them feel welcomed, which I too have been slacking off and not doing much :(

But the main issue I still see is that:
-People beg for comments and C&C, but never give any C&C themselves. kinda ironic ain't it? You cant have the pie AND eat it.

-Only a few regulars on here and that are active, I can list them on my 2 hands. :/
(and shame only us will read this thread and use it as a wake up call)

-Alot of young or non English speakers, so its hard for them to contribute.

-Chop upload issue I still dont know why is there, maybe its time to go back to the roots and just keep it simple, have a chop comp discussion thread, and a chop entry thread. If people can see entries maybe they will get inspired to chop.

-Not a bad idea with the chop reel auto updating as new threads appear, Like Flickr with the Most recent uploaded feature. :D But Marks been a busy boy, so I dont want to make him waste time making these features just yet, maybe in the long run after we iron out some other creases.

-Talks of merging showrooms have been discussed to condense the forum making it neater. Wont say which ones yet.
