Was thinking the same for a while now.
Was about to make a topic about it, but then the thread was made in the announcements section about promoting and demoting.
But I still think that it isnt fully sorted out.

I agree about keeping the levels 'we' already have, so there will be more levels to work to after you've been promoted (unless you're Elite ofcourse, but the goal then is to keep at that level).

This is what I think about how choppers should be selected:
- New Choppers Area: For the people who just started chopping, this will/should be pretty obvious imo.
- Intermediate Choppers: These people are getting the hang of it. Can mix c+p with a bit of brushing and actually (starting to) make chops look like chops.
- Pro Tuner Choppers: They could make great looking chops, but not that special yet. Brushing is alright, designs are alright, etc. But it all doesnt stand out that much.
- Advanced Choppers: Making great chops, but lacks something. With that I mean that they can brush veeery well, but the designs arent that great. Or the brushing is alright but cant give the chop the right refs/lightning that fits the bg, but the designs are pretty nice. It's hard to explain this in the right way, but you propably understand where I'm going.
- Elite Choppers: These choppers just have it all. Nice designs, nice brushing, the correct lightnings/reflections, etc.

I will use myself for example (To not get anyone down).
I know my brushing is pretty nice, but I really have to work on my designs. I'm practising alot lately with getting the right reflections and that's going pretty well. So my next goal is to combinate all that with making great design (with great designs I dont mean over-the-top/extreme designs, but just something that fits the car(style)). What I'm able to do now is what an Advanced Member should be able to do. And I'm practising on refs/lightning and especially designs because becoming an Elite Chopper should be able to do this all.

I could name a few choppers who are posting in the wrong section (imo), they are posting in a too high section or too low. But will not name them here, but if there is an Admin who'd like to know, let me know

I hope this all makes sense and makes it easier to judge what kind of chopper a member is.

Bold stands for the sections here, Italics for the sections on DM

New Choppers Area AND Intermediate Choppers are like Novice on DM. New Choppers are the low Novice choppers and Intermediate are the high Novice choppers (not Intermediate yet).
Pro Tuners are Intermediate.
Advanced AND Elite are high end Intermediate and Advanced. Difference is said above, Elite Choppers have it all.

again, i agree with everything said. Like you said sven, it hasnt been sorted fully yet, because there's a LOT to do. We are working on it though, and your suggestions aren't going unread and taken on board. Matt, i'll pm you with details of your showroom status so i don't stick it in here.

EDIT: the people who are saying about choppers who they could name who don't belong in the showroom they're in; all that will do is cause arguments whether it's pm'd to a member of staff or not. We haven't been round every single profile yet which would take a long time to do, so at the minute its based on profiles we stumble across, and more often than not when a chopper posts up a new chop.

sven said it all ... its good that you are sorting these things up ( not ment bad ) .. ive seen A LOT of choppers that are in wrong section but i kept my mouth shuit and i will keep doing it

x2. Sven got it on the money. Makes me feel underrated but i've still got some work. But on his scale i'm for sure pro but thats up to the admins as always. I hope my next couple chops can fix me up close enough to level where those in pro are coming up with cuz i don't feel too much different with some chops

I also agree with Richard about a team that could help with the promoting/demoting. These people have to be 'neutral', so there won't be 'friends-policy'.

Whoa hot topic, this is a big thread I'll read through thoroughly as soon as I get the time tonight. Keep the posts coming if anyone has any more in the meantime.

i think this was to be inevitable with a new site. someone posts 2 good chops, makes a good impression, gets put into a good showroom, then does one bad one then everyone calls for blood. its too early to call if those 2 chops were especially good from that person or that one other chop was a dip in their quality. over time people's place will become more obvious and it'll sort itself out.

But im not afraid to put myself on the line.
I was promoted to protuners cause of my chops, then demoted because i had a chop with flaws. Its like, everyone has bad days sometimes, rigth?

you were demoted with an cause, and they judged your earlier chops you posted too...
same for others, ok, some people complain the level is still too high, but others are opposite, so not all can always like it...
