actually tomii i think you are right
looking at the ground it seems like it is artificially lighted so it should feature pretty nice shade and tonedifferencies ;)

also i dont think the hood is moving to right direction, the yellow on it is way too strong i think and the angle of reflections seems bit odd
i think it should be much less visible due to its location

otherwise you know my opinion, could be really
Nice but the Midnight Purple II is darker than this... I will post a link of photos from a forum: http://www.gtr.co.uk/forum/93131-midnight-purple-r34-gtrs.html

And that looks awesome
Thanks guys. All of you are right about the colour now I look. And I'll try to fix the hood.

Hopefully an update in a few hours.

Another WIP. I attempted to realign the hood reflections and make them a little less orange. I've also started brushing the side, although I'm not 100% sure what I'll do with the reflections so far. I've also included the reference I'm using for the paint. As you can see, this particular midnight purple has more of a pinkish tinge to it than others.

Looks good so far, but the hood looks kinda messy imo.
Don't know why, think the ref is too big? Or something with the colors of the ref, think it should be darker... But not sure on any of this, just a feeling I got. Also think there should be a bit less orange sky refs on the hood, especially near the front.
Lastly the BG looks a bit off, I think skewing the top of red container a bit to the right might help.

I'm thinking of cropping the background a lot before posting, and I think that'll remove a lot of the perspective issues. As for the hood, I'll give what you said a try... I seem to be struggling with it. And brushing the side of the car is doing my head in :/

Just skewed that container and it seems to have worked... I'll see if I can update again later with that change.
