hi all , yes it's me .. still alive and still building ..
samvesters asked me to put up some pictures of my work .. whell it so much pfft so i will try to choose soe cool pics ...
some models i finished and some old ones that got some more work when i learned more and more >
1932 ford woody , removed the roof and build a custom real wooden body , so all the wood work is scratch build
slammed chevy pick up with custom paint , and a real wooden bed
1932 ford woody towtruck , just a joke and build with parts i had left over
t-bucket
a opel blitz , this was a long wheelbase and i buiold it like a hotrod tractor
i got featured in the international house of plastic , like they select what they feel are nice international builders
body slammed van , this was actually a ambulance kit
> 90% done needs some details still
this is my current project a ford model a tudor and this is the one where i'm putting all my skills into and this one is still exactly like a 1:1 everything is right and makes sense . technical wise
used a special paint technique with oil paints to get an old look
out of the box >
what its suppost to be
build everything else from scratch , chassis / suspension , airride in the back ..
just a loose dryfit this is not the ride hight the body will be just clear of the ground
without paint , the flathead i build 90% myself
whell this is some of the stuff .. now the diorama stuff , this is really whats cool...to do
build a 1/24 garage , all stuff exept the garage lift and small handtools (those are from fujimi) are scratchbuild by me , i use all sorts of stuff , try to buy as little material as possible and use all sort of scrap stuff
this started out as a simple dio to photograph my modelcars in , this got a bit out of hand to be hounest and i kept changing and adding details , inspired by some awsome dioramas on the net ..
the pictures i have made of the build are so extensive its to much to show and i shanged the looks a few times from start to finish ..
again like all my builds i just started builing with no plans or idea's ....
i will show some pics of stuff i made , 90% is scratchbuild with usuage of all sort of material and stuff , the only stuff that came out of a kit was the garage lift and the small hand tools wich came out of the well known fujimi garage kit
some self made stuf >
colomn drill wth real tiny drill bit
polish and grindstone also made from scrap materials used dremel parts for the grind stine and polish wheel
garage door
made a work bench using a fujimi tool cabinet and some plastic and adding real wood , this bench later on got changed with colors
made a real wooden desk the same way , this one has wood stain on the wood , wich the bench later on also got
i got hold of these boxes used in labs for testing (unused
)
made a heating system out of those
then made a frame to set the heater on , used real bolts out of toy skateboards (finger boards)
then i got some real cheesy christmass village light posts from somebody
and made these out of them , later on i added some brackets under the lights
added some light sockets and switches on the wall
made a cubbord for the wall of old plastic
onthe wall and added red on the nech and made a nother bench with wood and placed the grinder on that , also added old industrial looking pipes on te wall

cart with tools
then a friended builder milled a tiny hotrod for me its about the size of a fingernail
i made a cubbord woth real wooden top to put it on
on the scratchbuild attic / office , will change more later on
sratch build a oil drum and oil catch cart , used old ugly 1/24 rims for that
then painted that micro rod and managed to get rims and windows painted , that was a real steady hand job , i used a thin wooden meat stick woth sharp point to paint the rims and windows
started a seperation wall
and since the oild is on one side some glass protection against sprarks from grinding and welding
and thick edge around the wall and some wooden shelfs under the windows
yellow line for the oil . grease section
added steel panels at the bottom of the wall and added a door , sawed it open so the light really falls through the window just as on the big windows
then started a big mill bench and used lego's as base
degreaser sink
made a english wheel so they could do some panelwork
inspection was whining they needed a handrail
started to add more and more detail
this is why i made real window just see how sunlight comes through
and a nothr small bench
few moths back i wne tto a modelfair for the first time in my life , that was cool , it was organised by a bog dutch forum and i met a lot of forum members
and my second diorama and my current build , just started this one a 1930 gassstation
used a old toy roof as base
chosen to only do the face / front of the building , i want to be able to put cars in front and also want to make a road and street lantern and .. pfft so much idea's .
i will build a separate service garage next to this gassstation
after research i realised i loved the simple 1930 wooden gasstation , the charm i just loved
a example below , i will not rebuild anything from a picture but build my own version
as base for the front i used a thin piece of mdf
i had 2 broken windows left from the garage and made one new one out of that , this will be one big window where i can display some oild cans in and add some depth since i'm only doing the front instead of a whole building
as example with a wheel , its quit spaceous
on the right i will not make a window , i got other plans with that
started old looking siding , i'm using coffee stirrers fron ikea , they are ideal not one is the same shape , looks real old used as siding
just a start and i have so much cool ideas , first i will continue the siding and front ... btw i will make the building slightly weathered to be able to add more detail in paint
today i continued the siding
the srews in the roof are temporary
on the sides of the building i put wood , used paint stirers from out local diy market
finished the siding and started work on the door , just made a fantasy patern from wood
this shows it better , note : i did the imperfect look on purpose , not everything level and not perfectly matching and ... i want the building to have some soul and age
after the last update i build on and put some bondo in the wider seems on the front door
most of the time the point of the roof is closed and it has a ceiling , that takes away a lot of visibility and tends to make it look flat and again i need depth because its not a whole building ..
so i desided to combine the looks of a old barn and make wooden support beams , this also ties in with the rest of the wood work
the inside of the roof is rough from anding of all cast marks and mount brackets ..
i was thinking i could put wooden planking in there .. just have to see how much wilol remain visible
i wanted to ad 2 more supports and put one on eitch side of the center beam in a anlge put that became too ..what the word dollhouse like hahahaha
then under the roof i need to make a raised concrete piece to put the gasspumps on and make support pillars from the roof to the concrete
the sign holder on the roof will be made from wood also (or read covered in)
a test and this shows it will be cool to use as a photobooth for my models
note on this update , i;m making more with wood but bare with me , most stuff will not look like wood at all when i'm done
like the base for the pumps that will become concrete and the pillars will become steel .. and the wood that is ment to still look like wood in the end will be painted
base for the pumps with pillars , now this is the rough base the pillars will be wider at the bottom and i will add a mounting plate and bolts into the concrete .. so just a bare skeleton
i had a bunch of spare tube ends from .. uuhhmmm how do you call that in english ?? a translator does not seem to know it either ?? its for diy a cilinder with stuff in to close seems (lol at my discription)
anyway i sawed off a small piece ...
wich slided over the support poles and so i had a thicker bottom
made a cross beam on the top of the poles
then added 2 more wooden beams in the front roof frame
for the inside i used ribbed plastic that came of old plastic window blinds , you only see a tiny bit of the inside so using wood ..hmm i can use that better in other earea's
closed the inside with a straight point and some wooden beams
and made some extra supports on the strut poles under the roof
the sides of the bottom line of the roof also will get a beam
and started on the gass pumps ...
took some ballpointpen parts and a cap from a tube with ....cant seem to find the right word (see previous post)
sawed up 2 clear pens and got these glass houses out of them
some rods used from cuetips lol
and whell made it look like some fuel was inside , i reconed orange clear would work ? i didnt have anything better ..
and i thought most pumps you buy are empty so its always better detail wise
whell since even my plastruct glue would not glue these types of plastics i used regulair glue so i could not continue it was to fragile without the glue hardened
