now starting to tone down the weathering so its more clean but in the cracks and recesses the black wash stays and creates depth

thnx , when you paint stuff and its all perfect it just doesnt look really realistic to me

btw you can even make washes you dont notice when you see the build item but when you see it without that wash its like =O
especially works well on wheels , paint them silver / chrome and make a very watery wash and drop it on and in the rim.
gently getting it off the higer parts and the deeper eareas have a alsmost transparent darker layer witch creates major depth

also works magic on like hubcaps with a brand logo so on the inside of the letetrs its darker ..

tbh i'm still a beginner on the weathering side of modelbuilding , the militairy builders have such awsome techniques =O :omg:here are guys who make stuff that really like 1:1 / real ..

started a floor with paint techniques , just the base will get more depth and also some wells with lids in it

thnx :-d

i build the ford 5-window coupe a while back and wanted the bare steel effect
the paint was aluminium zink spray and when you sand that and polish it with copper polish you get a almost 1:1 realistic bare-etal effect :omg:
not strange because in fact its metal you spray on xD

not done yet
