and is the engine coming from the Ferrari ?? if so, there's no engine for the Ferrari unless you put the 2cv motor in it

yes its the engine from the ferarri

but it wont look like one

and if you saw the 2cv engine you would go like wtf that looks more like a lawnmower engine

there wil be a ton of work still to get this project done

i was just thinking i could use the 2cv parts and cabin for my garage diorama as sort of parts inside that and them working on it

today >
made the bed short and separate , single cab

the bed is now really made out of various parts of the 2vc all cut and changed

custom wheels ferrari hoops with beetle steelies
dont look at the stance its just sitting on the bench the paint is dry but not hard yet
so the ride hight will be set after that




now im wondering spray the wheels like the engine chrome look or keep them blue
i love the blue but its not sprayed more like plastic cast blue

also all isblack now but with all the chrome trim like chrome taillights and doorhandle etc
it will come alive
also you can see the matt finish now after drying

i also want to test out some pinstripes , i have tiny brushes so i will practice on a test piece (spray a plate black and try)
if it works i will pinstripe the car
not sure though if that will work (i hope so)

gonna use reference from the net to copy one

getting close now testfitted parts and made the front axle and chromed it

as where i first tryed a more vintage almost rat look i now want a nice finish , still mtte black but with a lot of chrome (nice contrast)

already practised pinstriping and i must say with a good pattern that will def. work (more about that later)

Not quite as amazing as Rich and his hot rod but its close enough. Its a photoshoot i did of my Lamborghini Murcielago LP640. Only took a few mins to do but really enjoyed it.

update

details are really coming together now

chrome doorhandles on the door and a grille from real mesh (also from the ferarri f40 kit)


then i got a parcel delivered



freaking detail


i have to say my ferarri ongine doenst look bad i like the shape way more (of the block itself)
the bare block of the ferrari has got more detail


i was not planning this , but i took it apart and made a custom engine out of this and teh ferarri engine
obviously a chevrolet engine cant go in this rod



after shaving some of the top of the engine the hight is great
i also lowered the engine into the chassis to the hight it will stay on (before it was just loose on the frame for testing )


detail looks great so far , the ride hight is still not set i can do that after i make a frame underneith and get the wheels done (also in the spray booth atm)


loose test fit of the interiour , maybe the brown wil be painted black and i will overlay real wood (i have special modelbuilding wood for ships witch is very thin and is up to scale )

at the back of the car you see the chevy engine look how simple the block itself is so now i have a very detailed block out of the f40 kit with the blower and supercharger super detailed from the chevy ingine (best of both worlds)


no more rat for me i like nice finish way better
