Going forward with competitions.
Alright people, it's time to put your thinking caps on.
Naturally everyone wants to see more frequent competitions, and once HUI's M8™ gets around to sorting out the submission and voting system, we'll be able to deliver.
Before that though, I'd like to hear from the community how they think competitions should be set up. Think about things like
Now before you answer I'd like to give the perspective of the organization/judging. From our perspective, unique themed bases are ideal. Unique so that everyone has to create instead of just clone, and themed so that everyone has the same frame of reference. Too much creative freedom leads to comparing apples to oranges. Not enough creative freedom leads to people "stancing" (seriously, stop doing this). Themes also add appeal from the outside world by giving something they can relate to. And interest from outside opens up new opportunities.
I get the idea that in the past, because we had people like Hugosilva around to inspire people, the competitions were a lot more successful. But ever since then, the standard dropped. And dropped. And with the recent trends people stopped chopping entirely, and just fitted the most expensive wheels they could find, with a bunch of camber. We need to get this standard up again. This means that the choppers need to be willing to take risks with their competition entries. And this means that there needs to be a support system to help each other improve in the background; the forums.
So I'd like you guys to think about it and add your opinions. And please make it a little more than just "I want to see THIS".

Before that though, I'd like to hear from the community how they think competitions should be set up. Think about things like
- Should there be one type of competition for everyone, or split into basic/advanced;
- Should the bases be generic or unique;
- Do you prefer themes or complete creative freedom;
- What is the ideal time frame for a competition round;
- <important> How do we get as many (both new and elite) people to enter as possible;
- ..and so on
