Why do you deserve to be promoted?

Yo Autemo-er's

lately, I've been looking around the forum a bit, trying to promote people in my spare time to where they deserve, but often I find myself at the point which I Just can't seem to work out what is Novice, Inter, pro, adv and elite worthy anymore.

The standards in Pro are already so high comparing to 2009, moving to advance means you should have next to no errors and perfection, so then what is exactly elite worthy? Because even they make mistakes from time to time, and what is the difference between Inter- Pro - Advance??
-Is it the Design, brushing, atmosphere, realism or crazy vent's design, being unique?

With someone asking me for elite promotion tonight, I questioned back, "What make's you think You're elite worthy?" They couldn't seem to answer me back, so I started this thread for you guys to voice an opinion.

I really want to hear what Autemo-er's think makes Inter/ Pro/ Adv/ elite , Maybe post a few links of chops/ artist as well.
Because Alot of the time I get people saying " They deserve to be ___ ranking, or this guy is crap :-q"

Intermediate = The artist can ______
Pro = The artist can ______
Advance= The artist can ______
Elite= The artist can ______

Pwned XD hmmm... To me, inter is people that already started to make more changes,brush and styling on the chop compared to new. Oh yeah, also a realistic chop, no more toony.
:awesome:

I think the difference between Adv. and Elite is only the scenery of the image.
By now it isn't enough any more to just make a "perfect" chop. You have to show something special, like a rolling shot in the rain or something.
I think that the whole thing is about the style of choping :)
This is my opinion :)
I like to be Pro Tuner... I`ll wait :D

But when I see your work, I think they are near Elite worthy. You have some great scene/ atmosphere in your chop, unique designs.

Only thing might be, your shut-lines are too thick, or brushing is too toony?

But that's your style, with my opinion, I can't really say that is right/wrong, becasue then everyone will be doing the same thing and making similar chops following a formula. (Reason I love the Turkish community, becasue of their crazy chops, like Activedesign for example)

Just because my opinion says you're not Elite, others might think you are chop god XD
So what is the boundary/ minimum to being Advance/ Elite?
(As you already said Uniqueness That is defiantly one, but everyone's chops are unique, aren't they?)

the answer should always be yes!
i wanna be toooooooo =O

edit:
personally I don't believe in a class system like this. IMO rating per chop works better. We all know where we kind of are supposed to post. And the rest is up to the audience. Let's take me for example. I am now advanced. But can always have an off chop or an extremely well one. So imo it would be nice if I could post in advanced but, based on comments or admin, that my chop -not me- could be demoted or promoted. So my rank would just function as an average... just my 2c

The BIG difference for me is the brushing and the atmosphere,mostly the atmosphere.
I personally like chops with very high quality.If you have great design,but poor brushing skills and can't make your chop to stand out of the crowd,no one will realy care for that work,it will be unvalued.
I have to agree with @samvesters,it's better to be rated by work,not name,every work is on a different level...and there is nothing wrong with that of course.

brushing is overrated
there i said it
it gives you freedom and is nice method of working
in a way it is nice and more true in my own artistical opinion, but it shouldnt be the deciding factor

but i see some people use it as an crutch ->it is not so good because i brushed it etc.
doesnt matter, aslong as the work done is innovative and done well enough it doesnt matter how you did it aslong as you follow the rules of the forums and copyrights in general
